Im stuck on an ocd question and its irritating me. I think its intrusive But I been ruminating on “do i think the idea of me giving underage guys oral is gross” Sometimes it feels like yes i do think that, sometimes i cant find an answer to the question. Idk if thats because its intrusive so ocd is planting doubt?
intrusive thoughts from OCD specifically thrive on things you feel negatively about. it creates a feedback loop in your brain that can make you question what you think is true. I would say if you usually feel yes, then that's how you truly feel. The thought recurs because of your disgust response, not because you want to think about it. it's one of the things that's so frustrating about the intrusive thoughts!!
I struggle with stuff like this too. I’ve been really working on not talking back to my ocd when these thoughts arise and just sitting with them. It’s been really hard, but I think I’m getting better at noticing when my ocd wants me to engage and get upset.
You r duffering from a moral delimma and blaming yourself for not being super grossed out by such idea. Maybe you are afraid that you could be a pedophile. Well, you are not. Trying to experience these thoughts and play them around to make sure you are not bad is a compulsive behavior. You have enough moral backgroynd to know that this practice is not ok. You do not need to follow your intrusive thoughts all the way to be certain 100 % that you are moral. U need to talk to your therapist about how to stop trying out these thoughts abd stop trying to seek certainty about your moral compass
Do you ever get stuck trying to figure out whether your thinking is a compulsion,obsession or normal thinking. Im stuck for the last 3 hours. The question keeps posing itself. Question is how do i do erp for this?
I’ve been having this theme for a while now . And now I’m questioning about my first time receiving oral by my bf . This happened in 2021 . I can’t rmeebr it good but I’m starting to have thoguhts what if it was r word and questioning it . I don’t believe it was and feel like it’s ocd messing with me . I hate this it’s so horrible . But I believe we had planned to do oral that day and when he came over we were going to do oral for the first time . Now I remember being hesitant pulling down my Pants but I can’t remember that day good . He was slowly pulling down my pants and so was I believe and I was kinda hesitant . I don’t think I was scared bc I wasn’t ready but scared lie what if it smells down there bc I did and still do struggle with BV . I don’t really rmeebr this day which is weird since it was my first time doing oral but if I truly didn’t want to then I wouldn’t just said no but I don’t think I did . I mean I was hesitant but I allowed it still . I think it’s just my ocd fucking with me again . And I would it like reassure but advice and maybe if someone can relate
Hope everyone is having a great day. I feel my harm thoughts are getting but im still getting questions from time to time. A question might be “do you think if you were born a rapist you would rape someone with glasses” Sometimes the answer FEELS like yes. I know ocd can produce fake feelings. So im wondering if that feeling of yes could be OCD?
